Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has again accused the President of the Senate of ordering the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to seize her passport and prevent her from traveling abroad.
The lawmaker in a video she made in the airport where she alleged that the President of the Senate, Sen Godswill Akpabio ordered the NIS to seize her travel document as it was done the last time she traveled.
In the video she explains,
“having completed the celebration of my second year, I decided to take a week off and my passport is being withheld again. The same thing happened.
“I have committed no offense and there is no order from the court to seize my passport and deny me traveling.
“The last time it happened, the officer in charge told us that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio instructed them to withhold my passport and prevent me from traveling”
“Because each time I travel I smear interview and smear the country”
The NIS and the office of the President have not reacted to the allegations at press time
