Reps Dpty Speaker Mourns Abia-Born NAF Officer, Man-Ugwueje, Commiserates with Family, State Govt

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has condoled with the family of Squadron Leader, Ahamefule Aham Man-Ugwueje, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officer who lost his life in Sunday’s plane crash in Ilaje LGA, Ondo State.

Kalu also commiserated with the Government and people of Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti.

It will recalled that the Deputy Speaker had on Monday condoled with President Bola Tinubu, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, the entire Nigerian Air Force and the bereaved families over the incident.

Upon confirmation that the co-pilot was an indigene of Abia State following the release of their details by NAF, Kalu who represents Bende Federal Constituency of the State, said he is deeply saddened, moreso as the officer recently got married.

The Deputy Speaker condoled with the late officer’s young widow and the Man-Ugwueje family, urging them to take solace in the bravery, patriotism and dedicated service the co-pilot rendered to the nation.

He assured them of his support and prayed for the peaceful repose of Man-Ugwueje’s soul and the strength for the family to bear the irreparable and irreplaceable painful loss.
