The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has announced the deployment of 1,803 personnel and operational assets to strategic locations across Abuja as part of heightened security measures for the 2026 Easter celebration.
The move, aimed at ensuring a peaceful and safe festive period, was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh. She explained that the deployment would cover churches, recreational centres, and other public gathering spots throughout the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the statement, the security arrangement includes intensified visibility policing, intelligence-led operations, and coordinated vehicular as well as foot patrols across key areas of the city.
