Aduda, who represented the FCT in the Senate from 2011 to 2023 across the 7th, 8th, and 9th National Assemblies, remains one of the most prominent political figures to have emerged from the territory under the PDP banner.

Although he did not provide extensive details about the internal crisis referenced in his letter, his exit adds to growing concerns about instability within the party, particularly in key political strongholds.
As of the time of filing this report, the leadership of the PDP has yet to issue an official response regarding Aduda’s resignation, leaving party members and political observers speculating on the potential implications for the party’s structure and influence in the FCT.
Political analysts suggest that the development could signal further realignments ahead of future electoral contests, especially if other notable figures follow suit.
