The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) led by Acting Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed; Acting Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has finallybeen recognisedby the IndependentNationalElectoralCommission(INEC).
This follows the invitationof the Caretaker National Working Committee (CNWC) to a stakeholders meeting with the commission as part of stakeholders engagements ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The NCWC was also accompanied by the Caretaker National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Hon Umar Bature.

A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan had last week Friday affirmed the Caretaker Committee as the authentic leadership of the PDP after the Court had set aside and nullified the ill-fated factional national convention sponsored by the Oyo State governor, Mr. Seyi Makinde in Ibadan on November 15, 2025.
At the INEC stakeholders meeting, the acting chairman occupied a front-row seat designated “PDP Chairman,” while Anyanwu sat behind him on a seat labelled “PDP National Secretary.”
Also at the meeting, Senator Nenadi Usman led the Labour Party (LP) National Caretaker Committee alongside Hon. Darlington Nwokocha, the Caretaker National Secretary of the party.
The PDP had at its 105 National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Monday mandated its National Caretaker Working Committee to officially communicate INEC ahead of its scheduled Ward, Local Government and State Congresses as well as its National Convention slated for March 28 and 29, 2026.
