The National Executive Committee of the Accord Party has announced the constitution of a Caretaker Committee for its Osun State Chapter with Pastor Victor Akande as chairman.
The appointment of a Caretaker Committee follows the expiration of the tenure of its leadership in the state.
The NEC also approved the Electoral Guidelines for the scheduled August 2026 governorship election.
As part of preparation for the forthcoming election, the NEC constituted the Electoral Committee for the 2026 Osun State governorship primaries and expressed confidence that the party would win the election
The party leadership further approved a general waiver for numerous Nigerians who recently joined the party and desire to contest elections on its platform.
The party’s NEC approved the constitution of Women and Youth Directorates at National, Zonal, State, Local Government, Ward and Polling Unit levels of the party which it says is to facilitate membership drive and grassroots mobilisation of citizens across the country.
As part of efforts to firm up the strength of the party in Osun State, the party leadership also announced it has lifted the suspension of some of its members in the state.
