A former Commissioner for Information Kano State and the Chief of Staff to Dr. Umar Abdulahi Ganduje, Mohammed Garba has dispelled information in the media that the former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was critically ill in a London hospital.
Garba who spoke to journalists on Monday, however admitted that the former governor of Kano State has been in London since former President, Mohammadu Buhari died in the UK.
According to Garba, “He is fine. Of course, it is rare for someone of Ganduje’s age not to have some minor health concerns, but it is not true that he is in critical condition as people are claiming.”

Speaking further, the former Kano State spokesman said that Ganduje’s inability to attend former President Buhari’s burial was due to the former party chairman’s engagement in London, but insisted that he remains in “stable” health.
“We spoke with him just last night, and there is no problem. Anyone can fall sick, but as far as I know, he is in stable health,” Garba said.
Ganduje who resigned as national chairman of the APC on “health grounds” was recently inaugurated as Chairman, of the board of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
