The lawmaker representing Kogi Central in the Senate, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has declared she will be re-contesting for a second term in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
The lawmaker in a statement shared on her social media handles announced that she has said “YES” to the endorsement of her constituents to re-represent them in the Senate.
“Dear indigenes of Kogi Central,
With deep gratitude, I hear your call and overwhelming endorsements to contest for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial Elections.
My response is “YES”.
Thus, I pledge to remain steadfast in my commitment to serve you all with even greater purpose.

“Under God, for people, for country … 2027 “
“Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan “
The lawmaker who has emerged the “voice of reason” in the 10th Senate has spent the last two years fighting for her voice to be heard in a Senate that is largely seen as a “rubber” stamp and an “extension” of President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Despite the hostilities against her in her home state of Kogi, Senator Natasha Akoti Uduaghan has continued to gain more popularity among her constituents.
In her first term, she came to the Senate after a long-drawn legal battle that saw her reclaiming her mandate from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The popular lawmaker is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
