2027: Rep Faleke Pays N100m to Buy Nomination Forms for President Tinubu
Kogi-born Lagos Federal lawmaker, Hon James Faleke, paid N100,000 to obtain the presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The forms were presented on Tuesday in Abuja by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, who formally announced the commencement of the party’s nomination process.
Hon Faleke, a staunch ally of President Tinubu received the documents on behalf of the President.
The purchase of the forms signals the official kick-off of President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The 2027 presidential election which will take place alongside National Assembly election is scheduled to take place on January 16, 2027 according to the election Timetable published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Governorship and state assembly elections will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
