
The Ebonyi State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii has reportedly chosen a former member of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC), Mr. Patrick Mgbebu popularly known as Patman as his running mate.
A senior member of the Ebonyi State PDP who spoke to FACTSHEET confirmed that after series of meetings and consultations with party stakeholders across the state, Chief Odii narrowed down on Mr. Mgbebu, noting that he is the most qualified for the job. The choice of Mr. Mgbebu is said to enjoy the support of key stakeholders of the PDP.
Mgbebu, a native of Ezza North Local Government Area of the state is a lawyer and the immediate past member representing Ebonyi State on RMFAC board. He was also a former member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
Chief Odii is expected to unveil his running mate alongside his campaign council as the ban on governorship campaign activities officially takes off in September 9, 2026.
