A member of the House of Representatives, Hon Iduma Igariwey has reaffirmed that he remains a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Igariwey who represents Afikpo North. Afkpo South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State while reacting to concerns that he has surreptitiously defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) told FACTSHEET that he remains a member of the PDP.
The concerns over his defection to the APC stems from the his political party which is listed as “APC” on the National Assembly website, the listing has continued to raise concerns about his loyalty to the PDP.
However, when FACTSHEET inquired about his listing as a member of the APC on the National Assembly website, the third term member of the Green Chamber stated that “its all fake” news, affirming that he remains a member of the PDP.
Igariwey is currently the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation and one of the high ranking lawmakers from the Southeast in the House of Representatives.
