Two Spanish footballers on Monday night in Paris emerged the best players in the world.
Manchester City midfielder, Rodri, was announced the winner of the of the 2024 Ballon d’Or for men football.
While Aitana Bonmati emerged the Ballon d’Ór winner in female football.
Both Rodri and Bonamati play for the Spanish National Teams, Bonmati in the last season won all the available trophies with Barcelona Female football team.
Rodri won ahead of the Real Madrid trio of Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham who came second and third respectively.
Earlier, when it was revealed that Vinicius would not win the much coveted gold plated football trophy, Real Madrid decided to boycott the Paris ceremony.
Real Madrid Coach, Carlo Ancelotti, however was announced the winner of the Coach of the Year
