The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Yrade Union Congress (TUC) have called off the nationwide strike over the brutalisation of the NLC National President, Mr. Joe Ajaero.
The unions announced the suspension of the two day strike on Wednesday night. The executive committees of the unions had been in a meeting with President Bola Tinubu’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu.
According to the National Deputy Vice-President of the TUC, Tommy Etim, the labour unions called of the strike because of the “confidence” we have in the promises of the NSA.
