Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka has expelled Miss Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious the student involved in an assault case against a lecturer in the university.
A viral video emerged on the internet earlier in the week showing a the student dragging the teacher identified as Dr. Chukwudi Okoye of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.. The student allegedly bit the teacher and tore his cloths for disrupting her TikTok video.
The school in a statement earlier in the week called for calm and referred the matter to the institution’s Students Disciplinary Committee.

In a memo signed by the Acting Registrar of the school, Victor I. Modebelu, with reference number, NAU/REG/95b/VOLVII/031 seen by FACTSHEET, the Acting Vice Chancellor of the university, approved the recommendation of the university which recommended expulsion of Miss Precious Chiamaka Goddy-Mbakwe.
