Two Ghanaian ministers and six others yet to be identified have been confirmed killed in a helicopter crash.
The minister of Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and his Environment, Science and Technology counterpart, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed were among eight people killed in a military helicopter that vanished from radar earlier in the day.

Other victims of the crash include, Samuel Sarpong, Vice-Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress party (NDC). The flight crew members who were also killed include, Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
The cause of the crash has not been determined at press time.
