President Bola Tinubu is set to resume a two-week annual leave to be spend in London, United Kingdom, Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga announced on Wednesday
In a media statement titled, ‘President Tinubu goes on annual leave,’ Onanuga revealed that the it will be a “working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.”
According to Onanuga “He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
Two weeks earlier, President Tinubu was also in London where he had met with King Charles II
Since May 29, 2023 when Tinubu became the President of Nigeria he has travelled out 26 times making todays travel to London the 27th in just sixteen months.
Statistics indicate that the president has visited the following countries since June 2023:
- Porto Norvo, Benin Republic
- Pretoria, South Africa
- Accra, Ghana
- New Delhi, India
- Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates
- New York, the United States of America
- Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (twice)
- Berlin, Germany
- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Dakar, Senegal
- Doha, Qatar
- Equatorial Guinea
- London (four times), the United Kingdom (twice)
- Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice)
- Nairobi, Kenya
