President Bola Tinubu on Thursday appointed Mr. Gbenga Alade as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
The President also approved the appointment of three Executive Directors for the organisation.
The new executive directors include, Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi and Lucky Adaghe.
According to a statement signed by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the “President urged the the new appointees to put forward thier unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness to ensure that the operations of AMCON were more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitize the nation’s financial system to maximize value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.”
The new appointments according to Ngelale now awaits the ratification of the Senate.
