Nigerian music stars Tems and Burna Boy have just set a groundbreaking record on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 chart that’s reverberating across the global music scene.
In the latest Billboard Hot 100 update, both artists secured new entries on the prestigious U.S. singles chart through high-profile features on J. Cole’s new album The Fall-Off.
Tems appears on the track “Bounce Road Blues” (with Future), which debuted at No. 34.
Burna Boy features on “Only You,” which entered the chart at No. 78.
These new chart placements brought both artists to eight total Billboard Hot 100 entries each — the highest number ever by any African artistes, surpassing the previous record held by South African rock band Seether.
