Super Eagles strike, Akor Adams has left the teams camp in Morocco to see his mother who is reported to be seriously ill and in the hospital.
The team confirmed the development in a statement shared on X on Tuesday.
According to the statement, “Akor Adams has been granted permission to leave camp to go be with his mum, who was hospitalised yesterday.

“We’re sending prayers and strength to him and wishing his mum a quick recovery.”
Akor was earlier informed on the condition of his mother before the Nigerian match against the Mozambique national team, but he chose to feature in the game notwithstanding. The lanky striker scored Nigeria’s 4th goal in the 4-0 win over the Southern African side.
Nigeria will either face DR Congo or Algeria in a quarter final game on Saturday.
Akor plays for Spanish side, Sevilla.
