A yet to be identified young man was on Monday arrested in a bank in Jos, Plateau State for attempting to bomb the building.
The young man went to a bank located in Dadin Kowa, a surburb in Jos South Local Government Area with an “explosive” devise strapped to his body
An X user, Zagazola Makama, a said that vigilant security operatives in the bank spotted the suspect and subsequently arrested him.
It was learnt that a mob gathered around the suspect and demanded that he lynched, but security operatives reinforced and arrested him for proper investigations.
It was not clear if he was a lone ranger or a member of any of the terrorists groups operating in northern Nigeria.
Neither the Plateau State Police Command or military authorities has spoken on the incident.
