The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of the lawmaker representing Enugu North Senatorial District, Senator Okey Ezea.
Senator Ezea passed away on Tuesday after an illness.
Speaker Abbas described the death of Senator Ezea as heartbreaking and unfortunate, saying it is a huge loss not only to the Senate but to the entire 10th National Assembly.

In a condolence message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker described Senator Ezea as a gentleman and fine lawmaker who carried out his legislative duties diligently before he fell sick.
The Speaker commiserated with the lawmaker’s family and his constituents in Enugu-North as well as the people and the government of Enugu State, especially Governor Peter Mbah.
He extended his condolences to the Senate and the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio.
Speaker Abbas prayed to God to grant Senator Ezea eternal rest.
