Nigeria’s foremost Fintech, Paystack has announced the sack of its co-founder, Ezra Olubi over an alleged sexual misconduct.
FACTSHEET reported that the company had earlier suspended Mr. Olubi over accusations of sexual misconduct. The saga dates back over 10 years ago, but recently series of social media posts Mr. Olubi shared in the past which included sexual innuendos suggesting sexual conducts with minors and animals.
Ezra Olubi and his schoolmate, Shola Akinlade co-founded Paystack in 2016 and in 2020 American company Stripe acquired Paysatck foe a whopping $200 million, but retained Mr. Aakinlade and CEO, while Olubi was also retained as Chief Technical Officer (CTO).

However, Olubi has threatened legal action against the company sayin that he was not given fair hearing or any chance t defend in himself. Earlier, Olubi had said that, “The posts being circulated do not reflect my conduct or the way I have lived my life.”
In a social media post on Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Techie stated that he was fired by the company “before the supposed investigation was concluded, and without any meeting, hearing, or opportunity to respond to the issues raised.”
He said that, “My legal team is now reviewing the process that led to my purported termination, including its consistency with internal policies.”
