Senegalese Leader, Bassirou Diomaye Faye Meets Tinubu in Aso Rock
President Bola Tinubu is currently hosting his Senegalese counterpart, Bassirou Diomaye Faye at the State House in Abuja.
President Faye arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on his first state visit to Nigeria at around 2.30pm.
The meeting between the two leaders according sources close to President Faye is part of the Senegalese leader’s efforts to meet with leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
President Bola Tinubu is the current chairman of ECOWAS and Nigeria aside from being the host of the headquarters of the regional bloc is also the biggest power behind the organisation.
Faye who is the youngest elected president in Africa was sworn into office in April 2, 202 after a famous electoral victory that saw him see off the ruling party in Senegal.
