The Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi has revealed that the Senate in planning to consolidate elections in Nigeria to drive down the cost of conducting elections in the country.
Senator Nwebonyi made the revelation while featuring on Channels TV programme, Politics Today on Friday.

The lawmaker who noted the Senate was poised to make amendments in the electoral Act Said, “We are looking towards consolidating the elections in one day. As a way of making elections less expensive.”
The lawmaker also stated that the Senate will look into the process of appointing the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
