The Senate on Tuesday rescheduled the screening of President Bola Tinubu’s newly nominated minister designates.
The screening was earlier scheduled to take place at Tuesday’s plenary but had to be rescheduled due to the inability of some of the nominees to complete their “documentations.”
The list seven new minister nominees were sent to the Senate through a letter addressed to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio by President Bola Tinubu last week Wednesday.

The awaiting nominees include the Ambassador Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu (Minister of State Foreign Affairs); Nentawe Yilwatda (Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction); Suwaiba Ahmad (Minister of State, Education) and Yusuf Ata (Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development).
Others are, Maigari Dingyadi (Minister of Labour and Employment); Jumoke Oduwole (Minister of Industry); and Idi Maiha (Minister of Livestock Development Ministry,).
There have been some disquiet in the Senate with reports that some lawmakers were kicking against the nominations on the ground that it was lopsided.
