RAMADAN: NYO Urges Muslims to Pray for Peace, Calls on the Armed Forces to Beef Up Security Nationwide
The leadership of the Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO) has urged Nigerian Muslims to pray for the peace and security of the country in the Holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday and signed by the National President of the Organisation, Comrade Okorie C. Okorie, the NYO “encouraged Muslim faithfuls across the country to seize the opportunity of this season to seek closeness to the Almighty Allah and pray for enduring Peace, Love, Wellbeing, Prosperity and Adequate Security of our dear Nation Nigeria.”
The NYO also called on Nigeria security forces to intensify security surveillance across the country to ensure that the holy month goes without any threats or security breaches.
According to the organisation, “Nigerian Security Agencies [should] provide adequate security for the citizenry during this Month of Holy Ramadan.”
The organisation restated its support for “revolutionary policies” of the Federal Government which according to it will ensure that Nigerian economy bounces back to life for prosperity and progress.
