As the first set of trucks arrived Dangote Refinery Lagos to load petrol for onward delivery to filling stations across Nigeria, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), the sole distributors of Dangote petrol surreptitiously increased the pump price of petrol from N617 to N889 per litre.
Though the corporation has not issued any statement to affirm the new price, outlets of the corporation across the country have already reflected the new price in the dispensers.
FACTSHEET correspondents in Abuja drove around various outlets and confirmed the new price.
Other independent marketers are, however selling at between N960 and N1225.
