The judge had earlier recused herself from the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu which prompted the case file to be returned ti the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court for reassignment to another judge. Aa the court resumed Kanu insisted that Justice Muritala-Nyako had earlier recused herself from the trial and therefore should not preside over his matter.

However, when the matter came up on Monday the presiding judge announced the adjournment of the matter “sine die.”

A visibly annoyed Kanu is seen in a video blaming the court and the judge for not being courageous enough to take decisions.

A lawyer who spoke to FACTSHEET on the condition of anonymity at the court premises on Monday said that the adjournment of the matter indefinitely now “leaves every decision at the table of President Bola Tinubu.”

According to the lawyer, “it is expected that President Tinubu will make a pronouncement on Nnamdi Kanu’s matter within a short time.”
