Nigeria’s Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has called on the youth to shelve the ongoing protest and allow the president to continue his transformative accomplishments, which cut across all sectors of the economy.
The minister acknowledged the challenges faced by the nation, noting that efforts by President Bola Tinubu are for the greater good of the country and future generations. He encouraged the youths to embrace the youth-friendly nature of the current administration, saying that the youth had never been given such a privilege to be part of the government as they are now. He also emphasized the introduction of youth-oriented policies and programs put in place by the government.
Mr. Olawande also pointed out the monumental steps taken in the oil sector, with local refineries now giving access to purchase crude oil with the Nigerian Naira to boost the economy.
He called on the youth to allow the policies of the government to yield the expected results, as the government was already creating an enabling environment for a more prosperous country by bringing governance closer to the people through local governance, with local government autonomy enabling significant development projects.
While reaffirming the government’s commitment to making life better for the citizens, Olawande reassured the youth that their voices are heard and their needs are being addressed. He therefore called for unity and support, urging citizens to recognize and appreciate the positive changes brought by the administration
