Buhari Approves Re-introduction of Old 200 Notes, Says Old 500, 1000 Notes Now invalid

President Muhammadu Buhari has said  that only the old 200 notes remain a legal tender, while the old 500 and 1000 notes are now invalid and no longer a legal tender in Nigeria.

President Buhari made the disclosure in a national broadcast on Thursday morning. 

The President called on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to re- release the old 200 notes to now be used side by side the new notes.
