The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has reacted to the Court of Appeal ruling affirming Ms Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the lawfully elected Senator for Kogi Central.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Bello said that he has accepted the appellate court verdict saying that the PDP candidate remained his “sister.”
Earlier, the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, had declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the PDP as the duly elected candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial Election held in February 2023.
The court had dismissed the appeal filed by Abubakar Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for lacking in merit.
