LASEMA Confirms ‘No Casualty’ in Collapsed Lagos Two Storey Building

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed that there were no casualties in the buiding collapse that occurred in the Orile Iganmu area of the state on Monday morning.

In a statement to issued to the media, The Head, Public Affairs Unit, LASEMA, Mr Nosa Okunbor, stated that, “No casualties and updates to follow,” have been recovered so far.

He also stated that the building collapsed on its own.

“LASEMA Response Teams in Search and Rescue Operation is at a self-collapsed building on Amusu Street, Baale Bus Stop, Orile Iganmu,”he clarified.

The two storey building had suddenly collapsed and sent people scampering for safety in panic.

Several government agencies including the Nigeria police, LASEMA, Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos Road Transport Authority (LRT) among others have already cordoned off the area to prevent further escalation of panic among residents.
