Labour Party Moves Convention Venue from Abia to Anambra
The Labour Party (LP) has announced a new venue for its proposed national convention slated to hold in June, 2024.
In a letter signed
by the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Julius Abure and National Secretary, Umar Ibrahim and addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the LP shifted the venue from Umuahia, Abia State to Anambra State.
The party said that it found out that the earlier venue slated to host the convention will not be available on the fixed date.
The statement reads:
“We write to kindly refer you to our letter on the above subject matter in which our National Convention rescheduled for 27th of March 2024 at the International Conference Center Umuahia, Abia State.
“We are, however, constrained to change the venue as a result of non-availability of the proposed venue on the scheduled date. We kindly request you to be present and monitor the convention.”
