Kebbi, Ebonyi, Yobe, Taraba Generated N42 billion IGR in 2022 as Lagos Grossed N651 billion- NBS Report
Kebbi, Taraba, Yobe and Ebonyi states emerged as the states that generated the least Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in the year 2022.
According to the reports released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the four states generated combined to generate a little above N42 billion in the year under review.
Whereas Lagos State generated N651.2 billion to retain the top spot as the state with the highest IGR in the country, Rivers, FCT, Delta, Ogun and Oyo states completed the top six spots with, N172.8bn. N124.4bn, N120.6bn, N85.9bn, and N62.2bn respectively.
The NBS report indicates that the 36 states and the FCT combined to generate of N1.93 trillion internally in 2022.
