Kalu visits ex-Rep, Adaelu, condoles him over father’s death 

 

The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu on Friday paid a condolence visit to the immediate past member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Adaelu who represented Obi-Ngwa, Osioma Ngwa and Ugwunagbo Ngwa federal constituency of Abia State in his home country, Abayi Amaugwu in Aba over the death of his father, Elder Emmanuel Adaelu who died at 82 recently.

 

Speaking during the visit, Kalu, the representative for Bende federal constituency of Abia State described late Adaelu as a couragous and kind hearted man who imparted lives and left legacies worthy of emulation.

He said that the deceased was a revered Igbo man and patriotic Nigerian who pursued his dreams and achieved the desired success from them.

 

Consoling the bereaved family, Kalu enjoined them to take solace in the good life their patriarch lived, urging them to follow his footsteps.

 

A statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Levinus Nwabughiogu states that the deputy speaker also prayed for the repose of the soul of Pa Adaelu.

 

He said: “Papa Adaelu was bold and courageous to pursue local and national goals. He was proud to be called onye Igbo. Though I mourn your father, I am glad he still lives in you. We miss your Dad but we see his reflection in you. You have your friends who are around to comfort you at this trying time.

 

“We celebrate your father because he was able to impact. Take heart. No words will comfort you because of how close you were with him.

 

“Your father was a name within our region and in Nigeria. The chemical business and all that. Please, do not allow it to die. He was a successful man.

 

“He imparted life. He didn’t hide his talents. I never heard where bad things were said about him. He had integrity, values, honesty. Please, sustain that. And this goes to all the members of your family. Those who witnessed your father’s legacies can testify.

 

“As you plan for the burial, please, carry us along. We are willing to support.”

 

In his response, Hon. Adaelu expressed his gratitude to the deputy speaker for finding time to come and condole with the family.

 

“I want to thank you, Your Excellency, for finding time to come and console with the Elder (Dr) Adaelu’s family. We really appreciate you”, he said.
