JUST IN: Tinubu Ready to Reshuffle Cabinet- Presidency

The Presidency has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu has concluded plans to reshuffle his cabinet.

Presidential spokesman and Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga made the disclosure while speaking with journalists on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to Onanuga, President Tinubu has hinted to his close associates that he will inject new life into his administration in the coming weeks.

He said, “The President has expressed his desire to reshuffle his cabinet and he will do it. I don’t know whether he wants to do it before October first and he will surely do it. That is what I will say, but he has not given us any timeline.”

Onanuga also revealed that President Tinubu has given matching orders ministers and political appointees in the government to see it as a duty to speak to Nigerians on the policies of the government.

Onanuga stated that all officers of the government that are, “media shy, television shy, radio shy, and he [President Tinubu] wants them to overcome all that and go out there and speak about what they have been doing”.

“Because the feeling out there is that the government is not doing enough and the government has been doing a lot. And it is up to them to go out there and blow their own trumpet.

“They should go out there and talk about what their ministries have been doing.”

He reiterated that the President wants everyone, “to go out there and speak about the activities of his administration,”
