A bill seeking to impose a one- time “windfall tax” on banks’ revenue earned in foreign lands has passed second readingin the Senate.
The bill titled “Finance Act (Amendment) Bill 2024 (SB.539) . According according to Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele who sponsored the bill, the revenue earned from the tax will be redeployed to finance infrastructure development in the country.
