The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved us National Working Committee (NWC) led by Acting National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed and in it place appointed a National Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Party for 60days.
The decision was taken at the 104TH National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Sunday.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Mao Ohuabunwa announced that the Hon. Abdulrahman Muhammad (North Central) will serve as the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, while Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Southeast) will serve as Secretary.
The 13-man National Caretaker Committee has been mandated to conduct all outstanding congresses at the state and -zonal levels in preparation for the party’s National convention in line with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which mandates all political parties wishing field presidential candidates in the 2027 general elections to conduct their national convention by March 2026.
