The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen. Shaibu Waidi has announced that the Nigerian Army has concluded plans to recruit and train 24, 000 soldiers to invigorate the army.
Lt. Gen. Waidi made the disclosure at the 1 Division Nigerian Army, Kaduna on Wednesday.
He said that the new recruits will form part of a larger plan to strengthen the operational capability of the Nigerian military.
