JUST IN: INEC Announces 2027 Election Timetable, Presidential Election Holds February 20, 2027
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the timetable and schedule for the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of the commission, Prof. Joash Amupitan, made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Friday.
Prof Amupitan stated that the announcement was in compliance with the 2022 Electoral Act (as amended) and in line with the provisions of the 1999 constitution (as amended).
The INEC Chairman disclosed that the He disclosed that the presidential election will on February 20, 2027, while the governorship, senatorial, and other elections are scheduled will hold in March 2027.
