Former governor of Rivers State and Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike has said that he remains a member of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) despite serving as a minister in the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of President Bola Tinubu.
Wike who featured in an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday denied that he has joined the APC.
The APC leadership has listed Wike as a member of its governorship campaign council for Bayelsa State ahead of the November, 2023 governorship election in that state.
However, reacting to his inclusion in the Bayelsa campaign team, Wike said “I was not consulted, I am not a member of the APC, I am a member of the PDP.”
Reiterating his membership of the opposition PDP, wike maintained that “I have not discussed with APC and no one has consulted me.”
