‘I’m Happy to Be Here’ Ex Super Eagles Skipper, Troost-Ekong Says as He Joins Qatari Club, Al Ahli

Former Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has joined Qatar Stars League side, Al Ahli SC .

Troost-Ekong broke the news in a statement he shared on his social media handles expressing his happiness for joining the Middle East club side.

The 32-year old experienced centre-back signed a contract with his new club that will take him tp 2028.

Until his new move, he was with Saudi club, Al Kholood where he recorded 49 appearances and also scored twice.

In his statement, the immediate past Super Eagles skipper said, “Next Chapter. Happy to be here part of the Al Ahli Sports Club family.” He recently retired from the Super Eagles after several years of dedicated service the the Nigerian national team.

Troost-Ekong will be donning his favourite number 5 shirt for the Qatari club.
