“If the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me that, I might do that,” Biden told George Stephanopoulos of ABC in a much anticipated interview on Friday.
President Biden, while, however, admitting that he did not impress in the June 27 debate in Atlanta when he was confronted by Trump said that he was merely distracted by the forme president, but that he remains firm and strong to face the rigours of ruling America for another four years.
“Look, I have a cognitive test every single day.”
“Every day, I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world.”
“Can I run the 100 in 10 flat? No. But I’m still in good shape,” President Biden declared.
Explaining his much criticized performance on the debate with Donald Trump, Biden said: “I realized that, even when I was answering a question and they turned his mic off, he was still shouting and I let it distract me. I’m not blaming it on that. But I realized that I just wasn’t in control.”
There has been disquiet both with the high echelon of the Democratic Party and the voting public with calls that the president steps aside fro another candidate to fly the Democrat’s flag in the election that is bare four months away.
