Igbo Community in Suleja Celebrates Emir Zazzau Suleja as He Clocks 30 on the Throne
The Igbo community in Suleja, Niger State on Saturday joined well wishers and the people of Suleja Emirate Council to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ascending the throne of his forefathers by the Emir of Zazzau Suleja, Mallam Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim.
The pomp and ceremony attracted visitors from both within and outside Nigeria,
The Igbo Community was led to the occasion by His Royal Highness Igwe Dr. Eze C.C Okoli ( Eze NDI Igbo na-suleja Emirate council) accompanied by the President General of Igbo Community Association Suleja, Chief Okechukwu Udeh and Chief Ifeadigo Desmond Odoh amongst many other Igbo prominent sons.
The event was also graced by the Governor of Niger State, Hon Umar Bago.
Governor Bago congratulated the Emir for the milestone of serving his people for the past 30 years and prayed that God will give him more strength and good health to lead his people for many years to come. Gov Bago also promised to work with the National Assembly to establish a tertiary institution in the Emirate.
The Governor reiterated his readiness to support traditional institutions and collaborate with traditional rulers in order to take dividends of democracy to every part of the state.
The Igbo community stormed the venue of the programme in their hundreds accompanied by traditional Ogene bands and masquerade said they are celebrating the Emir because he is an accommodating and a good leader that lives and works for peace amongst everyone in the emirate.
