I Joined APC in the Interest of Adamawa State- Gov Ahmadu Fintiri

Adamawa State governor, Mr. Ahmadu Fintiri has said that his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was a calculated a “decisive and strategic” move aimed at aligning Adamawa State with the progress of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a statewide broadcast on Friday Governor Fintiri  explained that his decision was a culmination consultations carried out across the state. He stated that his decision was in the best interest of the people of the state.

 Governor Fintiri further explained that joining the APC was part of a careful plan for the state’s long-term stability, growth and development.

He noted that he appreciated the mandates he received in the 2019 and 2023 governorship elections on the platform of the PDP that he mains grateful and would continuously put the interest of the state first.

He said, “My administration has consistently been guided by consultation, legality and impact in its decision-making process. Recent political developments at the national level, however, made a decisive and strategic realignment necessary.”

The Adamawa governor promised that with his defection to the APC, the state would gain accelerated infrastructure development and empowerment of the people.

Govenor Fintiri announced that that the defection extends to the entire political structure of his administration across the state’s 226 wards and 21 local government areas, including both elected and appointed officials.

He called on the people of Adamawa State and  especially his supporters to register en masse with the APC and assured residents that his government would remain focused on delivering development projects, regardless of party affiliation.
