The Court of Appeal has upheld the elections of Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State and Kaduna State counterpart, Uba Sani.
In the case of Governor Nwifuru, the Appeal Court sitting Lagos affirmed the decision of the Ebonyi governorship election petition tribunal that earlier dismissed the petition of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii.
Similarly, the Appeal Court in Abuja also upheld the election of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State. The court dismissed the appeal of Alhaji Isah Ashiru, the governorship of the PDP. challenged Sani’s victory in court
Both governors Francis Nwifuru and Uba Sani are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
