Gov Fubara, Keyamo Hold Close-door Meeting with APC National Working C’ttee Members

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday engaged in a close-door meeting with some members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC).

The meeting which started around 7pm was held in the office of the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Bashiru had in attendance, the National Secretary, the National Welfare Secretary, Hon. Donatus Nwapa; and the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru.

Governor Fubara was accompanied to the meeting by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN).

Fubara who accused the PDP of not protecting his interest while he fought an intractable political war with his predecessor and benefactor, Mr. Nyesom Wike.

FACTSHEET reported that the Rivers governor  had told the media that he joined the APC in appreciation and loyalty to President Bola Tinubu whom he said saved his job as governor.

He was famously quoted to have said he is openly declaring support for President Tinubu as against some others who are going through “corner corner way,” a jab believed to be targeted at Mr. Wike.
