The first assault occurred on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Kallah community, Kallah Ward, where gunmen reportedly stormed the area and abducted 13 residents. Those taken away were identified as Audu Obaina, Talatu Audu, Friday Audu, Beauty Friday, Jerry Audu, Jonah Philemon, Jumare Philemon, Juliet Philemon, Joel Philemon, Baby Philemon, Ephraimu Diwa and Esther Ephraimu.
During the Kallah attack, one resident, Diwa Makama, sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed facility.

Barely 24 hours later, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the attackers struck again in Bauda community, Maro Ward, in broad daylight. Credible sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said the armed men invaded the village, firing sporadically and causing widespread panic among residents.
In the Maro attack, one person was kidnapped and taken to an unknown destination, while three others suffered serious gunshot wounds. The injured victims — Mr. Josiah Abashiya, 53; Mrs. Josiah Hadiza, 41; and Mr. Daniel Kwanaki, 47 — were rushed to a medical facility where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Residents of both wards lamented the persistent insecurity in the area, noting that communities across Kajuru Local Government Area have continued to live in fear due to repeated assaults by criminal elements. They called on security agencies and the Kaduna State Government to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
A security source disclosed that the swift response of nearby operatives helped to prevent further casualties during Tuesday’s attack.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kaduna State Police Command and the Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs had yet to issue official statements regarding the incidents.
