A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has discharged and acquitted suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari of the charges brought against him by the police.
The court held that the prosecution failed to establish sufficient evidence to sustain the allegations against the former head of the Intelligence Response Team.
Kyari had faced high-profile scrutiny following investigations linked to alleged misconduct. In delivering judgment, the court held that the case did not meet the legal threshold required for conviction.
