The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday engaged in a shouting match with a military officer over a disputed parcel of land in the Gaduwa District of Abuja.
In a viral social video seen by FACTSHEET the FCT minister is seen exchanging words with the officer in a heated confrontation over the rightful ownership of the land.
In the video, the minister is seen insisting that the occupiers of the property would leave, the military officer stood his ground insisting that the land was “lawfully acquired.”

The minister questioned the officer on why a former Chief of Naval Staff would lay claim to the disputed parcel of land
Wike said, “Because you are an officer? Nobody does that. The man took land because he was the Chief of Naval Staff?”
The officer identified as Capt Adamu Yerima who comported himself, however, stood his ground refused to be intimidated by the actions the minister.
The visibly miffed minister pointedly tells the officer, “You will see if you will not leave here. Go and develop there and let me see.”
Both the FCTA and military authorities have not officially responded to the incident at press time.
